On the Open Sea
It was life for the Vikes on the open sea
Away from life from the boring country.
We go from dock to dock to raid
And each time we brag about
the money we made.
We rob and rob until we get
Then come to the ship when we are set.
Each day we ride the fearsome waves
And in danger, never knowing when we
will be saved.
As a man over the deck looks at the sky,
knowing he may die, he gives a frightful sigh.
I felt pity for him or my.
Watching him watching the waves
and giving out a cry,
fearing that he may die.
The raid must not go on,
I was alarmed.
That we must return home unharmed.
For the King has lost his sanity
and converted to Christianity.
